The hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior, it still has its original convex mirror and original puffer. The top fitted with a suspension ring so that the compact could be hung from a fob chain or chatelaine.

Of octagonal form, the sunburst enamel front graduating from a pale blue to an iridescent oyster coloured enamel within an engraved silver rim. The outer border a pale turquoise colour. The hinged lid opening to reveal a mirror and gilt interior.
