This exquisite solid silver purse was made in Birmingham 1917. It has an unusual cushioned square form, both sides engraved with foliate decorations. The front with a vacant cartouche. The clasp opening to reveal the original tan leather interior. The interior divided in three compartments. The sides fitted with a chain and suspension ring to allow a lady to hold her purse while holding her cocktail glass.

Date letter 's' for 1917.

Very good condition.
Good hinge, snaps shut.
Two minor creases on one side at the base, barely noticeable, mentioned for accuracy.
