This delightful cased silver and agate thimble was made in Chester 1911 by the collectable Charles Horner. The thimble with a pale celadon agate topThe base engraved with flowerhead designs on a textured backround Stamped for size 11. Presented in a Morocco leather case, lines with blue velvet and satin. The lower section of the thimble fully hallmarked.

This is a very collectable Sampson Mordan silver owl menu holder, or place holder. The cast silver body with naturalistic plumage and inset with characterful amber glass eyes. The back with slot for a card, the owl resting on a fully hallmarked circular plinth. Sampson Mordan is a renowned silversmith and is very collectable. He became famous for producing high quality, innovative novelty items, which enjoyed wide appeal. The firm existed between 1823 and 1941.

This exquisite and unusual Victorian sliced-cut glass scent bottle was made by the renowned Charles May and is dated Birmingham 1898. The elegant salmon pink lozenge-shaped glass body sliced-cut with elaborate designs. The fully hallmarked screw-top silver lid with embossed floral decorations surrounding a vacant roundel. The neck with silver thread and the inner lid fitted with the original cork.

This beautiful Victorian silver plated large size cake knife was made by Jonas Bowen and Sons, active in Birmingham from c.1870. The generous silver blade engraved with Gothic style decorations, very much in the 1870's style. The ferrule with decorative strap-work decorations fitted with a bone handle. Serrated blade.
Presented in its original case lined with satin and velvet interior. Cased silver plated cake knives are few and far between and this is a superb example.

This is a gorgeous Arts & Crafts silver christening mug by Bernard Cuzner * for Liberty & Co. Dated London 1908, it is marked with model number 2307. The slightly bellied cylindrical body decorated with a spot-hammered finish and engraved with stylised berries. Elegant narrow circular foot and distinctive flat handle. Excellent gauge of silver, a testimony to the quality of this unique piece.

* Bernard Cuzner (1877-1956) was an English silversmith and designer. He was head of metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art from 1910 to 1942. He was a leading figure in the Arts and Crafts style and designed for Liberty's Cymric range of silverware and jewellery from 1899>. He also undertook private commissions, for which he had his own hallmarks. His work can be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum silver room.
