Description
This delightful silver and guilloche compact was made in Birmingham in 1922 by the renowned Henry Matthews. Of octagonal form, the front decorated with a vibrant turquoise colour enamel cabochon. The hinged lid opening to reveal a gilt interior.Attachment ring for a chain.

Date letter "x" for 1922.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Lion passant.
