Description

This superb solid silver mustard pot is hallmarked for London 1847. The drum-shaped body with elaborate pierced decorations. The flat hinged cover engraved with foliate scrolls surrounding a vacant reserve. Very decorative shell thumb piece.
Angular handle and reeded borders on base.
Fitted with the original blue glass liner.
The inner lid hallmarked.
Sold with a solid silver mustard spoon.
Hallmarks:
WRS for William Robert Smily.
Lion Passant.
London Assay Mark.
Duty Mark.
Date letter "m" for 1847.
Condition:
Very good
No dings or dents.
No loss to the pierced decorations.
Liner in perfect condition.
Good hinge.
