Description

This superb quality solid silver mustard pot is hallmarked for London 1843 and bears the marks of the illustrious London silversmiths Charles & George Fox. The drum-shaped body with a slightly domed hinged cover and elegant gadroon border. The cover with a silver cast shell thumb piece and engraved with an exquisite family crest. The back with a shaped scroll handle. Fitted with the original blue glass liner.
The inner lid hallmarked with maker's marks, date letter and Lion Passant.
Sold with a solid Georgian silver mustard spoon hallmarked for London.

Date letter "b" for 1857.
