Description
This very pretty late Victorian sterling silver purse was made by the renowned silversmith Jospeh Gloster. Of rounded rectangular form, both sides engraved with foliate scrolls. The front with a vacant cartouche. The push button opening to reveal the original blue moire silk compartmentalised interior.Hallmarks:
J.G for Joseph Gloster
Date letter "a" for 1900.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Lion passant.

Very good throughout
A little stiff to open, as it seems to have been hardly used.
