Description
This is a stunning Victorian silver and Bohemian overlay glass scent bottle. Of elegant baluster form, with alternate bands of frosted glass and ruby glass. The frosted bands incised to clear glass with stars. The ruby panels cut to clear glass with graduated circles.Mounted with a fully hallmarked hinged silver lid dated Birmingham 1899 and fitted with the original stopper.
Star cut base.
Hallmarks:
CM for Charles May.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Lion passant.
Date letter "z" for 1899.
