Description
This exquisite Edwardian small silver tape measure is dated Birmingham 1903 and was made by Arthur & John Zimmerman. The acorn-shaped embossed casing is very pretty and the winding mechanism fully functioning. The blue silk tape is incomplete (it starst at 10 inches but still unwinds to a length of 34 inches by being held by the side of the tape measure and pulling gently on the tape extremity. It can be wound back by turning the top cover clockwise.Hallmarks:

Date letter "d" for 1904.
