Description
This delightful solid silver "fledgling" chick pin cushion is more unusual than the "hatching" chick pin cushion design, it bears the marks of the celbrated Sampson Mordan and is dated Chester 1904. Detailed plumage. Resting on an oval solid silver base, with the chick's back being the cushion. Fitted with a dark blue velvet cushion.Hallmarks:
S.M & Co for Sampson Mordan.
Chester Assay mark.
Lion passant.
Date letter "D" for 1904.
Condition:
Very good.
Silver casing in very good condition.
Velvet in very good condition.
