Description
This stylish silver mounted dressing table jar is dated Birmingham 1936 and bears the marks of the Adie Brothers. Of compressed circular form, with a hallmarked silver rim and silver mounted tortoiseshell lid and finial. The glass with star-cut base and the inner lid fitted with the original mirror.Hallmarks:
A BROS Ltd for the Adie Brothers.
Date letter "L" for 1936.
Coronation Mark.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Condition:
Good.
Tortoiseshell in good condition, still relatively glossy.
Silver lid in very good condition.
Silver rim with a couple of minor creases, commensurate with age and use.
Silver mirror in very good condition.
Glass in very good condition.
