Description
This exquisite solid silver purse was made in Birmingham 1917. It has an unusual cushioned square form, both sides engraved with foliate decorations. The front with a vacant cartouche. The clasp opening to reveal the original tan leather interior. The interior divided in three compartments. The sides fitted with a chain and suspension ring to allow a lady to hold her purse while holding her cocktail glass.Hallmarks:
G.N for G Norman.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter 's' for 1917.
Lion Passant.

Height: 9cm / 3.6 inches.
maximum depth: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
Condition:
Very good condition.
Good hinge, snaps shut.
Two minor creases on one side at the base, barely noticeable, mentioned for accuracy.
