This very elegant pair of George III silver salts was made by the illustrious Robert Hennell I and is dated London 1773. Each salt of of oval outline, the sides pierced with openwork geometric patterns surrounding a crested cartouche. The top with gadroon border. The base resting on four claw and ball footed legs.
Fitted with the original and rather stunning star-cut Bristol blue glass liners and sold with a pair of Georgian initialled salt spoons dated London 1824.
The Hennell family was a silversmithing dynasty that spanned four generations.

This superb Edwardian silver pepper grinder bears the marks of the very collectable Hukin & Heath* and is dated London 1902. The baluster-shaped body, with rope-twist borders. All three parts separately hallmarked. The grinding mechanism by the renowned Peugeot Freres. It grinds pepper beautifully and therefore combines elegance with practicality.

*The firm of Hukin & Heath (1855-1953) was established by Jonathan Wilson Hukin and John Thomas Heath as manufacturing silversmiths and electroplaters. They entered silver marks in London in 1879. The firm is renowned for its collaboration with Dr Christopher Dresser. Its showrooms were described as 'redolent of art', while the art works were produced without increasing the cost, exhibiting 'grace combined with the useful, simplicity and purity of form with readiness of application to the purposes to which they are to be applied'.

This fabulous and rarely seen large cast silver "owl" pepper, mustard and matching "mouse" spoon was made by the renowned silversmith Richard Comyns in 1965. Each cast body with naturalistic plumage and inset with characterful glass eyes. The mustard with a hinged cover housing its matching "mouse" mustard spoon. These spoons are very scarce as they so often have been lost. The pepper with a hallmarked secure pull-off cover. It is the large example, it has an excellent silver gauge and the quality is wonderful. A superb and rare owl cruet set by the celebrated Comyns family.

This is a very rare Georgian solid silver large muffineer or flour dredger. It is dated London 1820 and bears the marks of Sebastian Crespell II.
It is unusually large for a silver example. It is more the size of a brass example.
Of traditional cylindrical form with pierced pull-off cover.
Reeded base , girdle and handle.
It has a very good gauge of silver.

This superb cased pair of pierced silver butter dishes bear the marks of the reputed silversmiths Adie & Lovekin. Each dish of oval form, the sides pierced with exquisite lattice designs and raised on four fleur-de-lys capped feet. The dishes flanked by elegant pierced lug handles and fitted with their original frosted glass liners.
The set is completed by the matching silver butter forks, all beautifully presented in the original box.

The forks themselves are a simple and exquisite design. The frosted glass liners with star cut base, always a sign of quality. This is rare on the market; complete cased sets are few and far between and this is a very elegant example.

These exquisite and rather unusual Victorian solid silver salts & matching spoons are hallmarked for Sheffield 1889 and were made by James Dixon & Sons. Each salt having an embossed textured body in the form of a basket with Greek key pattern handles. They come with their matching spoons, same maker, varied dates, a rare occurence as spoons are usually lost and later replaced. Presented in the original and rather splendid case.

This rare pair of Indian Colonial solid silver salts were made circa 1810. Of cylindrical form, they are raised on a hollow circular foot. Each cylindrical body inscribed 'Salt' beneath a gadrooned rim and pierced removable cover. They were most probably made in Calcutta circa 1810-20. The hallmarks are very faint but appear to include a makers mark and pseudo Lion passant marks. They are very distinctive of the period.

This delightful mid-Victorian silver plated cruet set is naturalistically modelled as a donkey drinking from a trough. The body is struck with the "Victorian Lozenge" which not only certifies the registered patent of an item but allows the identification of the exact date of its registration, in this particular case, the 25th March 1869.

The cast donkey standing on naturalistic base and drinking from a trough which is in fact a removable open salt with a rich gilt interior.

The saddle fitted with both pepper pot and mustard pot with matching spoon.

The centre with a removable carrying handle with loop finial.

A beautifully executed and quirky condiment set.
