Description
This is a wonderful silver mounted guilloche enamel compact in a beautiful mint green colour. Of square form with sunburst decorations. The hinged cover opening to reveal the original mirror and removable attachment for powder fitted in a gilt receptacle. The back with engine-turned decorations.Hallmarks:
C&C for Cohen & Charles.
London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "C" for 1938.
Dimensions:
8cm x 8cm / 3 inches x 3 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
No loss to the enamel.
Enamel still shiny and vitreous with very little surface wear.
Back in reasonable condition, minor dings as one would expect with age and use.
Interior in equally good condition.
Snaps shuts nicely.
