Description
This elegant George III silver sugar basket is dated London 1789 and bears the marks of William Plummer. Of shaped rectangular form, the body decorated with bright-cut sunburst designs surrounding two vacant cartouches, the concave sides with similar designs. The sides with a reeded swing handle mirroring the shape of the bowl. The interior of the bowl gilt wash.The rim with reeded decorations.
Raised on a shaped pedestal foot.

Date letter "O" for 1789.
Duty Mark.
Condition:
Very good.
The interior with minor surface wear commensurate with age.
