Description

This delightful small silver butter dish bears the marks of Edward Souter Barnsley and is dated Birmingham 1919. Of circular form, with pierced sides and elegant fretwork handles. Raised on four fleur-de-lys capped feet and fitted with its original star-cut frosted glass liner. Completed by a well matched silver butter knife by the Barker Brothers dated Birmingham 1924.

E.S.B for Edward Souter Barnsley.
Date letter "u" for 1919.
Lion Passant.
