Description
This fabulous Art Deco solid silver inkwell was made in London 1939 by the illustrious Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company. It is quite a statement piece and is very striking. Of triangular form, the flat hinged lid opening to reveal a recess fitted with the original clear glass liner. The spread base fully hallmarked and impressed with Retailer's marks. The underside with glossy black bakelite.Hallmarks:

Lion Passant.
London Assay mark.
Date letters "D" for 1939.

Good
No dents.
No pin holes.
Excellent set of marks.
Displaying general surface scratches and wear in keeping with age and use.
