Description

This exquisite and rather unusual early Victorian caddy spoon was made by the reputed silversmith George Unite and is dated Birmingham 1851 . The scalloped shaped bowl with a vine tendril handle applied with two vine leaves and grapes.
Hallmarks:
GU for George Unite.
Duty Mark.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter "L" for 1861.
Dimensions and Weight:
Diameter: 4cm / 1.5 inches.
Length: 8.5cm /3.4 inches.
