Description

This is a truly delightful mid -Victorian solid silver christening mug. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1868 and bears the marks of Thomas Prime & Son. The baluster body profusely embossed with foliate decorations surrounding vacant reserves.
Beaded hollow handle and pale gilt interior.
Hallmarks:
T.P & S for Thomas Prime & Son.
Lion Passant.
Duty Mark.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Date letter "T" for 1868.
