Description
This elegant George III silver sugar basket is dated London 1795 and bears the marks of thre renowned Solomon Houghman. Of navette panelled form, the body decorated with bright-cut engraved foliage and swags around two cartouches, one vacant the other monogrammed.The sides with a reeded swing handle hallmarked with the lion Passant.
The rim with reeded decorations.
Raised on a shaped pedestal foot..
