Description
This gorgeous and tactile Georgian silver mounted desk shell snuff box dates circa 1790. Of oval form, the decorative carved shell with a reeded silver mount. The hinged cover a lovely snug fit. The underside with a carved narrow pedestal base allowing for the snuff box to sit upright.Hallmarks:
Unmarked as was very often the case with small objects of vertu, but tests as sterling silver.
