Description

This beautiful and rather rare Georgian silver snuff box was made by William Pugh and is dated Birmingham 1816. Of rectangular form, the front engraved with a hunting scene. The back exquisitely bright-engraved with an acorn border. The sides with floral motifs.
Exquisite flush hinge.
Raised thumb-piece opening to a gilt interior.
Hallmarks:
W.P for William Pugh
Duty Mark.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter "s" for 1816.
Condition:
Very good.
Good hinge .
Interior gilding in original condition.
Shuts nicely.
Engraved decorations faint at places.
