Description
This gorgeous Georgian silver mounted red leather sewing case dates circa 1795. The rich red leather case strengthened with bright-engraved silver borders and decorated with beautiful rosette rivets both front and back. The elaborate silver shield catch on the front has a small button that when pulled down releases the lid. The green card interior fitted with the original bodkin, steel scissors, needle book.Hallmarks:
Unmarked as was very often the case with such items but tested as silver.
