Description
This is a very pretty Victorian silver and pique tortoiseshell magnifying glass. The front of the handle inset with pique tortoiseshell decorations depicting musical instruments within ribbon-tied garlands. The back plain silver. Fitted with a 7.5cm diameter steel mount inset with magnifying glass.Hallmarks:
T.H.B for Thomas Henry Blake (active between 1895 and 1899)
Sheffield Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "c" for 1895.
Condition:
Very good.
Handle in very good condition.
Some minor dings on the side.
Glass with no surface scratching.
