Description

This is a very decorative and unusual Edwardian Arts & Craft silver plated salver. It was made by the renowned William Hutton & Sons at the turn of the Century. Of shaped circular form, with an Art Nouveau sinuous border interspersed with scrolls. The rim spot-hammered in the Arts & Craft manner, the plain tray raised on three bun feet.
Dimension:
Diameter: 26cm / 10 inches.
Height: 2 cm / 1 inch.
Hallmarks:
Electroplated marks of William Hutton & Sons.
The firm used the trade mark "CROSS ARROWS" (6 or 8 arrows) after the acquisition of Creswick & Co (c. 1900).
Condition:
Very good.
No dings, no dents.
No loss to the silver plate.
Very minor surface scratching , commensurate with age.
