Description
This is a superb and very decorative mid-Victorian solid sterling silver salver tray by the silversmith Alexander Macrae. Of shaped circular form, with a raised pie crust edge , the tray with Gothic style engraving. Raised on three ornate bracket feet and having a very good silver gauge.Hallmarks:
AM for Alexander Macrae.
London Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Duty Mark.
Date letter "i" for 1864.
