Description
This exquisite George III silver "shell back" mote spoon dates circa 1776 and bears the marks of Thomas Tookey, who was registered as a spoon maker. Very often, marks on mote spoons are unclear, so it is wonderful to be able to identify the makers. The bowl pierced with scrolls and crosslets. The back engraved with a shell and Georgian owner's initials.Hallmarks:
