Description

This fabulous Edwardian silver aide memoire and visiting card case is dated Birmingham 1901. Of rounded rectangular form, the spot-hammered front embossed with a stylised leafy bud, very much in the Arts & Craft and Art Nouveau manner.
The interior lined with the original teal coloured moire silk. The note book bound with an ivory page and fitted with a pencil.
The back with conforming planished decorations.
Hallmarks:
D&F for Deakin & Francis
Date letter "l" for 1885.
Duty Mark.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Dimensions:
10cm x 7cm.
4 inches x 3 inches.
Condition:
Silver case in excellent condition with no dings or dents.
Good hinge, snaps shut.
Crisp engravings.
Good set of hallmarks.
Clean Interior, still very bright in colour pen missing.
Leather in great condition..
