Description
This rare and delightful Edwardian sterling silver pin cushion is dated Birmingham 1909 and was made by the prolific silversmiths Cohen & Charles. The hallmarked sterling silver head is embellished with textured decoration realistically reproducing the bird’s plumage. The body of the chick is comprised of a later recovered blue velvet cushion.This body supported by two feet raised on a circular base. The base loaded and retaining the original leatherette.

Date letter "k" for 1909.
