This exquisite Edwardian silver and tortoiseshell jewellery box was made by the prolific Levi & Salaman and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1910. The domed tortoiseshell lid inlaid with a charming rooster and rising sun scene. The solid silver circular base with gilt interior.Pull-off cover.
Hallmarks:
L&S for Levi & Salaman.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "l" for 1910.
Condition:
Very good.
Tortoiseshell in good glossy condition.
Silver base in very good condition, no dents.
Snuggly fitted lid.
Hallmarks a little faint but legible.
