Description

This is a stunning solid silver medium sized rose bowl made in London 1898 by the celebrated silversmith Charles Boyton. Of circular form, the lower body embossed with wrythen fluting surrounding a vacant oval reserve. The oval reserve embellished with pretty scale and scroll designs.
Raised on a circular pedestal foot.
Hallmarks:
CB for Charles Boyton.
London Assay marks.
Date letter "c"for 1898.
Lion passant.
Dimensions:
Diameter: 17cm / 6.4 inches.
Height: 11cm / 4.3 inches.
Weight: 360g / 12.6oz
Condition:
Very good.
No dings or dents to the main body.
Good set of marks.
No splits to the rim.
Foot rocks ever so slightly.
A few small tarnish marks inside the bowl.
