Description

This elegant silver & tortoiseshell jewellery box was made by Horton & Allday and is dated Birmingham 1918. Of generous oval form, The silver mounted plain tortoiseshell cover opening to reveal the original blue velvet interior. The plain base raised on four elongated legs. Black Morocco leather lining on the underside.

H&A for Horton & Allday.
Date letter "t" for 1918.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
