Description
This charming solid silver mounted rattle was made by Crisford & Norris and is dated Birmingham 1939. The hollow rattle modelled as an owl, the round eyes inset with minute blue glass stones, the other with red glass stones. The sides with suspension bells to seat. The fully hallmarked collarwith a other of pearl handle.
Hallmarks:
C&N for Crisford & Norris.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Date letter "P" for 1939.
Patent number impressed on the side.
Condition:
Fair to good. Reflected in the price.
Owl in good condition.
Ring attachment to teether possibly missing.
Bells a little distorted.
