Description

This is a very decorative decanter coaster by Thomas Wilkinson, a renowned Old Sheffield maker and later firm. Dating circa 1835, the everted sides applied with naturalistic twigs and fruiting vines, very much in the William IV style. The turned fruitwood base with a central silvered button. The underside with the original green baize.
Hallmarks:
TW for Thomas Wilkinson.
Deer pictogram.
Cross pictogram.
Sheath of wheat pictogram.
Number 3.
Condition:
Good.
No base metal showing through, sit firmly, no wood distortion.
