Description

This delightful silver double sovereign case is of rounded rectangular form. The body engraved with foliate scrolls on both sides centred by a circular vacant reserve. It was made in Birmingham in 1907 by Henry Charles Freeman. The sprung hinged cover opening to reveal two spring loaded compartments. Push button clasp. Suspension loop. Snaps shut beautifully.
All sprung mechanisms in very good order.

Inner cover fully hallmarked.
Sovereign frames with date letter and Lion Passant.
H.C.F for Henry Charles Freeman.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "h" for 1907.
