Description

This rare and delightful George V silver Novelty chick desk wax seal was designed by the highly collectable Sampson Mordan & Co and is fully hallmarked for Chester 1912. Designed as a newly hatched chick sitting in half an egg shell, it is beautifully detailed and sits on a circular plinth. The seal is not engraved with initials.

SM & Co for Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd.
Lion passant.
Chester Assay mark.
Date letter "M" for 1912.
Condition:
Very good.
Silver casing in good condition.
Base with some unevenness.
Velvet in very good condition.
