Description
This exquisite and very unusual silver mounted butterfly wing pendant compact is dated Birmingham 1920. The lid inset with a glazed iridescent blue Morpho butterfly wing cabochon. The hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior, it still has its original convex mirror and original puffer. The top fitted with a suspension ring so that the compact could be hung from a fob chain or chatelaine.Hallmarks:
L&S for Levi & Salaman.
