Description
This fabulous silver mounted "snake" green glass scent bottle was made by Levi & Salaman and is dated Birmingham 1897 . The pale green cylindrical glass body with a coiled silver snake , its head on the collar. The hinged lid opening to reveal a rich gilt interior. The neck fitted with the original glass stopper. Snake scent bottles are very few and far between and this is a wonderful example.Hallmarks:
L&S for Levi & Salaman.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "x" for 1897.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Impressed "Sterling: at teh back of the lid.

Diameter: 1.5cm / 0.6 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
No damage to the glass.
Silver top in very good , smooth condition.
Strong hinge.
Original stopper.
