Description
This is a rare and delightful 19th Century French Palais Royal* silver gilt and glass scent bottle. The tear-drop sliced-cut crystal body mounted with an elegant hallmarked silver gilt hinged lid. The lid with fine engine-turNed decorations surrounding a vacant reserve. The front applied a silver git cartouche. The neck with its original stopper.*Palais Royal is a term used to describe, not a single manufacturer, but to a name given to a small area around the Royal Palace that specialised in producing small elaborate works of art and gifts in the 18th and 19th centuries.

French guarantee mark (Boar head in lozenge).
