Description
This exquisite 18th Century silver etui was made by the reputed and very collectable Samuel Pemberton. It is of tapering form and is charmingly bright-engraved with foliate motifs and prick-dot borders.Push button mechanism at the front.
Hallmarks:
SP for Samuel Pemberton.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter "a" for 1798.
Duty head.
Dimensions:
Height: 4cm / 1.4 inches.
Width at base: 2.2cm / 0.6 inches.
Condition:
Very good for its age.
Minor dings at places, barely noticeable and mentioned for accuracy.
Push button mechanism still opens and closes satisfactorily.
