Description

This stylish silver double sovereign case is of rounded rectangular form. It has an engine-turned body centred by a circular vacant reserve. It was made in Birmingham in 1907 by J W Kirwan & Co. The sprung hinged cover opening to reveal two spring loaded compartments.
Push button clasp.
Suspension loop.
Snaps shut beautifully.
All sprung mechanisms in good order.
Hallmarks:
Inner cover fully hallmarked.
Sovereign frames with date letter and Lion Passant.
j.W.K. for J W Kirwan & Co (John William Kirwan)
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "h" for 1907.
