Description
This delightful George V silver "hatching chick" pin cushion was designed by the highly collectable Sampson Mordan & Co and is hallmarked for Chester. The pin cushion is designed as a newly hatched chick sitting in half an egg shell. It is beautifully detailed, with the chick's back being the cushion, which is finished in a dark blue velvet. The chick is 'weighted' in such a way that, should it be knocked over, it will 'right' itself.Hallmarks:
