Description
This is a delightful pair of small Jugendstil * Art Nouveau German silver salts. Each circular salt formed as a handled basket holding a clear glass liner. The pierced flat handles with a distinctive Arts & Craft influence. The silver sides pierced with stylised berries very much in the Art Nouveau manner. Sold with a pair of continental silver spoons.* Jugendstil was an artistic movement that was influential primarily in Germany and elsewhere in Europe from about 1895 until about 1910. It was the German counterpart of Art Nouveau.
