This exquisite and very unusual Victorian silver button hook was made by the prolific Adie & Lovekin and is dated Birmingham 1894. Of small size with a ring attachment to the top, it was designed to hang onto a chatelaine. The tapered handle inset with graduated grey banded agate cabochons. The back exquisitely embossed with stars, the silver hook fully hallmarked. Hallmarks: A&LL for Adie & Lovekin. Lion Passant. Birmingham Assay Mark. Date letter "u" for 1894.
