Description

This is a gorgeous and very unusual Art Deco silver lidded amethyst glass preserve jar. The tactile pale amethyst honeycomb pattern pressed glass body with a plain silver lid with thistle finial. The snuggly fitted lid with a slot for the spoon. The solid silver spoon with thistle finial dated Birmingham 1936
Hallmarks on lid:
W&G for Wilson & Gill.
Sheffield Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "m" for 1929.
Spoon:
J.C&S for Joseph Cook & Son.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "'M" for 1936.
