Description
This small and unusual Victorian silver chatelaine scent bottle originates from Hanau and bears the marks the renowned German silversmith Simon Rosenau alongside a full set of English imports hallmarks. Of oval form, embossed on one side with a gentleman and on the other with a lady. The sides with ring attachments and chain to hang on a chatelaine. The pull-off lid with cork, suspended too on a smaller chain.Hallmarks.

Hanau silver marks of Simon Rosenau.
Silver purity mark of 930.
On the neck.
