Description
This gorgeous and unusual solid silver thimble with a red carnelian agate top is hallmarked for Birmingham 1890 and bears the marks of James Swann & Son. It comes in a very pretty valise-shaped ormulu thimble case. The outer case reeded. The top with a thumb-piece opening to reveal the original interior fitted with fuchsia satin and red velvet. So often, the interior of these holders are missing. This is a beautiful complete example.Dimensions:
