Description
This very distinctive Arts & Craft, spot hammered, silver cream jug was made by the celebrated Arts & Craft silversmith A.E.Jones and is dated Birmingham 1920. The spot hammered body with an applied rope-twist border. It has a very good gauge and feels satisfyingly heavy when picked up.Hallmarks:
A.E.J. for A E Jones.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "v" for 1920.
Condition:
Excellent.
No dings. No dents. No inscriptions.
