Description

This is a rare and exquisite early Victorian silver mounted sliced-cut amethyst coloured glass scent bottle. The rounded rectangular glass body beautifully sliced-cut in fan shaped patterns. The screw-top silver lid finely bright-engraved and centred by a crest. The neck fitted with the original amethyst glass stopper.
Hallmarks:
Unmarked, which was often the case with silver scent bottle lids but tested as silver.
Dimensions:
Height: 7cm / 2.6 inches.
Maximum width: 3.5cm / 1.2 inches.
Depth: 2 cm / 0.6 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
Glass in very good condition, one or two minor nibs.
No chips or cracks.
Silver lid in good condition.
Inner neck in very good condition.
