Description
This small and exquisite solid silver trinket box was made by Deakin & Francis and is dated Birmingham 1897. Of oval form, the cover and sides decorated with embossed scrolls and foliage surrounding a vacant cartouche. The plain base fully hallmarked. The partially hallmarked piano hinged cover opening to reveal the original pale gilt interior.Hallmarks:

Lion Passant.
Date letter "x" for 1897.
