Description

This very elegant Arts & Craft movement solid silver tea caddy is a rare piece. Made by the renowned and very collectable A. E. Jones, it has a simple and beautiful oval outline and a pleasing hinged concave lid. The lid with baluster finial. The oval body applied with a frieze of stylised flowers at the base and the rim.
The underside inscribed with the pattern number.
Hallmarks:
A.E.J for A.E. Jones.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter "r" for 1916.
